In 1588 the Clans MacIan and McDonald of Scotland were ravaged and sacked village by village by the Clan MacLean with 100 mercenaries from the ship San Juan De Sicilia of the Spanish Armada to fight with them. When the MacIan and MacDonald reinforcements arrived, MacLeans and the Spaniards withdrew their burning and sacking. The Spaniards returned to their ship. Later, the bay was rocked with a huge explosion and the Gold filled galleon sank to the bottom of the sea. Could the Clans MacIan or MacDonald have organized this deed in seeking revenge for the sackings? The story is the stuff of legends and the mystery remains to this day.

I am a stacker and reluctant to pay an extra premium for any collector coins. I purchased the first three coins in this 10 coin set. I can hardly wait for additional coins to be released as this is quite possibly the most attractive coin set I have seen. By far my favorite whether it gains in popularity or not, I will keep this set for display.

I have all 3 coins in the series! For 2 oz each, the price is not bad per coin. They feel good in your hand with some weight and the design is detailed. Fans of Dungeons and Dragons, Princess Bride, King Arthur or Month Python would like this set.

This is the most beautifully designed silver round I have ever come across. And I have done hours, days and months of research. Any photos you see of this online do not do it justice. This round is so detailed, it's practically lifelike. Not one ounce of surface area is wasted on this round. Premium on this is thru the roof, but that did not stop me purchasing. This just may be the one piece of silver in my collection I'll never sell. This is more of a keepsake for me more then anything. It's just to amazing to look at and hold to give up. May sound cheesy but, I'm proud to be one of the 10,000 people on this planet that will ever own this version of this round.
