Awesome, well packaged little fraction of gold. The RCM card is smaller than a postage stamp, and the coin inside is barely bigger than the head of a pin. But it's a gram of gold! I expected the detail and quality to be a little rougher than what one would find on a 1-ounce Maple, because of the tiny scale compared to those coins. Not so. I didn't get out the loupe but I can see mine was very well struck, with the same excellent attention to detail of its larger siblings.

This was my first gold purchase, and it was a fantastic one. Being one of the few 1g pieces offered by a sovereign mint was a big factor for me in deciding to go with a Maplegram vs a generic bar. There is a solid premium on these, but after seeing it in person I think it is worth it. This is a great coin, and I really enjoy the aesthetic of the fractional coins. I already want another!

This is my starting out point as far it comes to gold coins.The maple leaf is an iconic brand and i hear the canadian.mint produces the purest gold in the world and the coins have superb craftsmanship.I will be on the lookout for a good deal on gold or platinum
