Silver Eagle Design
In 2020, the U.S. Mint revealed new designs for the 2021 Silver Eagle coins. This was to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle coin program which started appearing in mid-2021. The 2021 Silver Eagle design was created by AIP Designer Emily Damstra and sculpted by Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso. The single eagle approaching for a landing, carrying an oak branch as if to add it to a nest, is shown in the 2021 American Silver Eagle layout.
The 2023 Silver Eagles will feature these Type 2 designs, making them excellent additions to your collection or portfolio.
The American Silver Eagle Coin Series Original Design
The Walking Liberty design, which features a heraldic eagle on the reverse and a figure of liberty on the obverse side, was not the first time it had been used in circulation. During an era when American currency symbolism was wanting, Weinman's Walking Liberty design was implemented. The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was created between 1916 and 1947. The design was a sensation because it reminded citizens of American ideals, opportunity and patriotism.
Manufactured in limited quantities with a Proof finish, in PR-70 condition and featuring the FirstStrike® designation, this coin will make an excellent addition to any collection.
