Germania Mint
The Germania Mint has just released the latest edition of its flagship collection, which includes a range of historically significant components beloved by fans as well as some intriguing new changes. This 2023 release features five different Silver products of varying sizes. This includes the 1 oz Silver BU, 1 oz Silver Proof, 2 oz Silver BU, 1 kilo BU and the 10 oz BU.
The reverse of the round depicts a bicephalous eagle, a Roman mythical creature connected with Janus - the god of beginnings, guardian of doors and gates, and protector of agreements and alliances. The heads facing in opposing directions stand for the past and future.
The laurel wreath is a sign and reward for success in a fair fight that is closely linked with great accomplishments. In ancient Greece, athletes received it, and the Romans added the head of a successful commander to his military triumphs when crowning him.
