This coin contains ½ oz of pure gold at a fineness of .9167. It weighs a total of 16.97 grams (0.5455 troy ounces) due to its alloy composition, which includes copper and silver for added strength.

2025 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Design
The obverse of the 2025 Gold Eagle features the iconic Lady Liberty, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. This design, created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, originally appeared on the 1907 $20 Gold Double Eagle. The reverse, introduced as part of a 2021 redesign, showcases a detailed close-up of a bald eagle by Jennie Norris. This new design replaced the original design by Miley Busiek.

NGC MS-70 Certification
NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) is one of the world’s largest third-party grading services, known for its rigorous standards and commitment to authenticity. A grade of MS-70 signifies a flawless coin, with no imperfections visible even under magnification. Investors and collectors add MS-70 ½ oz American Gold Eagles to their collection for their perfect condition and increased value.

First Day of Issue Designation
This coin carries the First Day of Issue designation from NGC, which means it was shipped from the U.S. Mint on the first day of its release. This designation adds an extra layer of desirability for collectors, making it a standout piece in any collection.
