Following the popularity of the Gold Britannia first introduced in 1987, The Royal Mint began using the popular design on a silver coin for the first time in 1997 as proof. Shortly following in 1998, the Silver Britannia was also released in a bullion version. Today, the series has expanded to several sizes and also includes the Platinum Britannia coins with added security features.

Well when in Rome you need different metals so I got a couple of these as a starter for the next big thing. I keep hearing almost the same situation is happening to silver but less platinum is available worldwide. Buy another you can while you can.
