2025 celebrates the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere sending the warning that the British are coming at about 10p.m. on April 18, 1775. He was alerted by signals from the Old North Church—two lanterns indicating the British were coming by sea. Revere set out in the dark from his North Boston home by horse to reach Adams and Hancock in Lexington where they helped the revolutionaries avoid arrest.
