- Obverse: The coin’s obverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and the monetary denomination.
- Reverse: The coin's design depicts a representation of a kookaburra peacefully sitting atop a branch. For this special 35th anniversary of the Kookaburra coin, The Perth Mint included the 1990 coin's design on the reverse as a privy. This special design also includes an inscription, "KOOKABURRA 35th ANNIVERSARY." The design is tied together with The Perth Mint's "P" mint mark, the coin's weight and fineness and the 2025-date.
