The 2025 Libertad coin release is historic due to its extremely low mintages and the complete absence of gold coins—a first for the series. In stark contrast to previous years, where the 1 oz silver BU Libertad often had mintages over 300,000 (e.g., ~437,000 in 2021), the 2025 version is limited to just 500 coins. Other sizes are equally scarce: the 5 oz BU silver Libertad is limited to 200 coins, and the ¼ oz BU version to only 100 coins. The Silver Libertad coins are produced at La Casa de Moneda de México, the oldest mint in North America. These silver coins have been introduced in different sizes and finishes, and this 2024 set includes five coins of the 2024 Silver Proof Libertads: the 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz and 1/20 oz.
