The Nutcracker
A classical ballet in two acts based on E.T.A. Hoffman's 1816 fairy tale, "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King." It features music by Pyotr Llyich Tchaikovsky, a libetto by Marius Pepita and choreography by Petipa and Lev Ivanov. The story follows a young girl named Clara on Christmas Eve as she goes on a magical adventure with a nutcracker doll after it comes to life.
