- Obverse: The obverse offers a unique underwater perspective of the same scene, highlighting the submerged kit in striking detail. On both sides, the beavers are engraved in Extraordinarily High Relief (EHR) and plated with yellow gold, emphasizing their lifelike presence. The obverse also features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, engraved by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
- Reverse: The reverse of this coin presents an above-water view of a beaver family (Castor canadensis)—an adult male and female with their two kits—busy constructing their lodge. One kit swims alongside its mother, creating gentle ripples across lily-dotted water, while the female positions another branch into the growing structure. The male is just entering the water from atop the lodge, his head and front legs visible on the obverse.
