The Royal Canadian Mint continues its beloved Pysanka coin tradition with the 2026 release, the eleventh coin in the celebrated series honoring Ukrainian Easter egg artistry. Designed by Canadian artist Natalie Kit, the egg-shaped coin features colorful spring blooms including pussy willows, scilla and forget-me-nots—flowers that nourish early pollinators and symbolize renewal after winter. Traditional pysanka motifs appear throughout the design, with geometric bands representing the elements of air, fire and water, while crosses, rhomboids and ancient symbols honor the sun, earth and Berehynia, protector of home and family. Together these elements create a tribute to nature’s harmony, resilience and the enduring cycles of life.
