Moses and Batya: Rescue on the Banks of the Nile
As recounted in the Book of Exodus, the infant Moses was placed in a basket of reeds and set adrift on the Nile by his mother Jochebed to spare him from Pharaoh's decree ordering the death of Hebrew male children.
