Victoriaa Young Head

Coins are as advertised, I had one coin that looks like it had been in a capsule for years (no dirt, small wear) and one coin that had some dirt / residue on both sides and the other three were in between. No complaints, thanks APMEX

Rarest of the rare Sovereigns

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

You can count on one hand the number of us "verified buyers" so far. Sovereigns themselves are a signature type of coin, but the UK-made young Victoria is elusive. Victorias at older ages are available, and Australian-made Sovereigns featuring Victoria at all ages are for sale. But this one is seldom in stock. I made sure to grab it while I still could. It's condition also looks like the mint took it and stuck it in a safe upon minting, until today.

  • Pros
  • Attractive Design
  • Collectible (lower mintage)
  • Recognized Brand
  • Bottom Line
  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Another beautiful Coin!

This 1877 coin is my fourth vintage "Average Circulation" sovereign and each has been beyond expectations. Like the others, this coin is a solid AU. Really beautiful! Apmex, you are restoring my faith in American businesses; delivering more than promised, promptly, efficiently, courteously, and at an excellent price.

Nice addition to the collection!

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

A very nice coin. I received an 1885-M which is the most common mintage for that year. The coin I received is "circulated" as described but is actually in better condition than the sample photo, so I was very pleased! A great bit of history from "down under" and considering it's over 130 years old, I felt it was a very fair premium for a beautiful coin. APMEX is by far my favorite vendor for purchasing gold sovereigns. This one won't be my last!
