When the Royal Canadian Mint introduced the Platinum Maple Leaf, it was originally offered in 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz weights. The mint continued issuing the coin in these four weights until 2002 at which point the program was suspended. In 2009, the Royal Canadian Mint revived the Platinum maple leaf series but only offered the coins in a 1 oz weight.
