The number one reason to buy silver is to hedge against the dollar and the possible collapse of the dollar. The 1 oz silver bar will be the perfect bartering chip when the dollar bottoms out and it will! I've been interested in these since I stumbled on them through a video on Youtube. I'm primarily a coin collector (numismatic over bullion) and didn't previously have any bars, but this one really caught my eye. My order was a bit short for free shipping so I threw one on for fun. Man, I had high expectations, but I'm extremely satisfied with this little thing. The one I received was ever so slightly toned; the only way I could tell was by having it next to a mint silver coin. Otherwise, if you didn't have anything to compare it to, you may not even notice. I find this to be a plus. It doesn't detract from the piece at all and really makes it look that much better. I'm looking forward to purchasing more of these for me and as gifts. Only wish PG&G made fractional poured bars. Highly recommended. One note, but I was surprised at the size. It's fairly small but ever so slightly thick. The entire thing could be covered by a silver eagle. Has a great weight to it though. Haven't had a chance to throw it on the scale but I don't have any doubts it's accurate.

Good-looking rustic bar, much more unique compared to regular minted items. If you like hand-poured unique stuff, this is the item for you. Love it! On the downside premium is a little high.

Great little silver bar. I must say I love these poured bars compared to the machine press silver bars and coins. Delivery is on point by apmex. I have ordered thru these guys 5 times now and I have yet to be disappointed.
