Arrived in sealed plastic. The bar itself, is beautiful, and where it wasn't damaged, was perfect. However, it was scratched quite a bit on one side (-1 star), and also has a large milk spot (-1 star). As stated in the Bar Highlights: "Bars come sealed in plastic to protect their finish and design" but it did neither... Or it was like that, and they repackaged it.

the top where it says Year of the dragon was a bit un readable guess from the process of the bar, others have been great, but this one in particular was a bit rough on that top area.

Loved the 5 oz Dragon silver bar, however, the flimsy plastic "protector" or plastic it came in, didn't do a good job! Scratch in the edge of the bar. I wish it would be better protected.

I have been purchasing the 2012 "Year of the Dragon", 2013 "Year of the Snake", 2014 "Year of the Horse, and the 2015 "Year of the Ram" bars in 1/2oz., 1oz, and 5oz. They are all of high quality, and packaged in the clear sealed plastic packed in foam for protection. Delivered in 2 to 3 days. I am now getting the 10oz bars of the same for my collection. You won't be disappointed if you start a collection of these items.

With this I now have the entire collection in 5oz bars of the Lunar Year designs. Starting with Year of the Dragon to the most recent Year of the Ram, My business with APMEX has been nothing but outstanding. It's really nice to look at, but I can't seem to find any capsules/air-tites to store it in. The plastic "bag" that it came in was slightly compromised, so I'm using a plastic sleeve of my own for now until I get something better to store it in. It also came with a few tiny scuff marks on the edges and what appears to be a tiny smudge on one side. If it weren't for the small blemishes and the compromised plastic "bag" that it came in, I would have gave it a 5 star rating. Despite the flaws, I'm still happy to own it though and I'm sure someone else would enjoy having one as long as it arrives in pristine condition.
