Product Details
This Silver round is from the third year of issue from the famous Prospector series and the last to feature the "E" logo. Engelhard's rounds were the first bullion rounds marketed to the public, adding a sense of historical value and collectibility.

Round Highlights:
  • Contains 1 oz of .999 fine Silver.
  • Round comes in protective packaging. Multiples of 20 rounds will come in a plastic tube.
  • Obverse: Image of a prospector panning for Gold, the words "U.S.A", the year of issue and "The American Prospector."
  • Reverse: Engelhard “E” logo along with the weight and purity of the round.
  • Guaranteed by Engelhard.

These rounds are no longer being minted and are increasingly difficult to locate in excellent condition. Add this iconic 1 oz Silver round to your cart today!

These secondary market rounds will have some wear consistent with their age and circulation.

The Original Prospector

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

Sooner or later you will want at least a few of these - the Eagle backs and the E backs - just because no collection is complete without them. It is easy to see the exceptional workmanship of these quality strikes and the ones I've received looked like they were just minted. I'd own a lot more if the premiums weren't so high - but no regrets on the roll I've got.

  • Pros
  • Attractive Design
  • Collectible (lower mintage)
  • Bottom Line
  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful Coin!!!

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

Since this coin will be given as a Birthday Gift, I also ordered the 40mm APMEX gift box (very attractive for storing or display). The coin is new-looking although stamped 1984, & the prospector design adds to the appearance.
