When I received this coin I was totally unsatisfied because of the shallow relief. This made the coin appear as a weak strike or an overly circulated and overly worn specimen. I exchanged it for a 2008 1 oz. gold Britannia and was totally satisfied with it. It has a decent relief. If the 2013 had the same relief as the 2008, it would be a beautiful coin. Instead, as I mentioned above, it looks like its overly worn or a weak strike.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I purchased 8 gold coins and found this coin to be my favorite. First year for .9999 fine gold is nice but the luster & design is what won me over. This coin is larger than the typical 1oz coin and the reeds on the coin are sparkly with a fantistic finish. if you buy the coin you will agree. I think it's fantastic. Will purchase 4 more and grab the new 1/10 oz too.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Mint Condition
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Had I seen this in person I would not have purchased it. There is almost no relief. It looks more like a piece of glossy jewelry, like it was poured into a mold rather than struck on a die. If you can get a good over-spot price buy it because it's unique, otherwise I'd pass.
- Pros
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Cons
- Unattractive Design
- No Relief
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend
