I had previously bought a flintlock gun by MK Barz and thought this derringer pistol would make a good partner with the flintlock in my huge treasure chest. Received the package today and discovered the patina is much different than the photo shown here. It's much lighter, basically like new silver with a very dull patina, with no darkening in the crevices that accentuate the 3D effect. The pistol would look much better if it looked like the photo (a darker patina, with darkened crevices). That said, all the detail is there and it's an attractive design with fine craftsmanship. I know this pistol will grow on me the longer I have it. Just wish it looked more like the photo here, and just want others to know what to expect (based on what I received).

I purchased 2 of these pistols for my personal collection and may purchase a couple more to give as gifts! Very attractive design and the 7oz weight adds to the look and feel. All silver collectors should have at least one of these in their collections.
