Gain from an Investment in Gold American Eagle Coins

Like other PCGS-certified Gold American Eagle Proofs, this coin contains 1 oz of Gold. Since this measurement represents actual Gold weight, you can feel confident this coin will hold its value over time. With its perfect 70 grading from PCGS and First Strike label, this coin may even increase in value. Its fast processing after production at the U.S. Mint guarantees the coin's beautiful luster, making it an intelligent investment.

Due to their PCGS processing, these Gold American Eagle Coins include encapsulation. These plastic cases are ideal for investors, as they guarantee the perfect condition and the flawless surface for each coin.

If you are a collector, there is no need to compromise the perfect-70 condition just to show off the stunning appearance of your Gold American Eagle Proofs. Instead, keep them encapsulated and display them in custom presentation boxes. Specially designed for certified coins, these wooden or velour presentation boxes ensure your collection maintains a striking appearance while remaining safe from harm.

American Eagle Gold Coins Offer Historical Links

In addition to their strong investment potential, American Eagle Gold Coins also provide collectors with intriguing links to the past. Considered one of the most iconic designs in American coinage, this proof offers visual appeal and fascinating historical connections.

The obverse of this Gold proof features the well-known Augustus Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle design. Here, Lady Liberty appears in the center of the coin, boldly moving forward. She carries both a torch for victory and an olive branch for peace. Stars line the perimeter of the coin, the sun rises below and the U.S. Capitol emerges from the lower left of the design. The text "Liberty" appears along the top of the coin, and the year appears on the right side.

The reverse of this design depicts a male bald eagle delivering an olive branch to a female bald eagle and her young. The monetary value and Gold weight appear along the lower edge of the reverse, and the text "United States of America" appears along the top edge. The text "E Pluribus Unum" appears on the left side of the design, and "In God We Trust" appears on the right side.

While American Eagle Gold Proofs are increasingly popular today, they have not always featured prominently in collections or investment portfolios. In 1933, U.S. citizens were prohibited from possessing monetary Gold. Over 40 years later, private Gold ownership became legal once again, and the U.S. Mint resumed its Gold coin production. Since 1985, all American Eagles have been made exclusively from American Gold.
