The Gold Canadian Maple Leaf coin remains one of the most popular bullion coins to date for its iconic single maple leaf design and high purity. Fractional coins provide more options for those looking to purchase this classic design.

The 2016 Gold Maple Leafs feature a unique light-diffracting pattern of radial lines, making the coins harder to duplicate and providing another measure of security.

Coin Highlights:
  • Contains 1/2 oz of .9999 fine Gold.
  • Multiples of 10 come in their original plastic sheet. All other coins will be in protective packaging.
  • Eligible for Precious Metals IRAs.
  • Obverse: Right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II, along with the year and face value.
  • Reverse: A large, single maple leaf with the weight and purity.
  • Radial line background was precisely machined by the Royal Canadian Mint onto their master die to create a unique light diffracting pattern, providing another measure of security.
  • Sovereign coin backed by the Canadian government.

Protect your Gold Maple Leaf with this clear plastic capsule or display it in style by adding an attractive presentation box to your order.

The iconic beauty and high purity of these beloved Gold coins is even more accessible in this fractional size. Add 2016 1/2 oz Gold Maple Leaf coins to your cart today!

If you want 2016 1/2 oz Gold Maple Leaf coins in top condition, look for brilliant uncirculated Gold coins.

Brilliant uncirculated 2016 1/2 oz Gold Maple Leaf coins are Gold coins that have never been circulated and retain most if not all of their original luster. Gold coins that retain at least 95 percent of their original luster are considered the “most pure” coins available. Almost uncirculated Canadian coins are Gold coins that have a small amount of wear on their highest points. Gold coins for sale can also be marked “about uncirculated,” the European equivalent of almost uncirculated.

Gold coins from Canada are among the most trusted Gold coins in the world.

The 2016 1/2 Gold Maple Leaf is made by the Royal Canadian Mint, a sovereign mint that makes legal tender coins for Canada. Gold coins made by sovereign mints are almost always of the highest production value. Gold coins for sale from sovereign mints can also be trusted for purity and weight. Canadian coins are trusted worldwide because of the Royal Canadian Mint’s innovations in making high-quality Gold coins with built-in security features and beautiful designs.

I bought this coin because it is pure gold .9999 not like the gold eagles which are only .91% PURE THATS a 9% SAVINGS BY BUYING THE mAPLE LEAF And it came sealed in poly bag

Merchant response: Both coins are excellent choices for any portfolio. It is important to note that purity is not the only thing to consider when purchasing Gold bullion. Both the Eagle and the Maple contain the same Actual Gold Weight, in this case 1/2 troy oz of Gold. The lower purity of the Eagle means it is heavier than 1/2 troy oz to accommodate the additional metal.
