This is a very detailed (obverse) silver round, that I think is attractive but, would have been so much better in a higher relief. Also, the reverse carries on the 'Pieces of Eight' theme but, is significantly less detailed. Finally, I think the detail would really pop if there was some contrast to the finish, proof-like surfaces, as well as matte finishes on both sides.

i buy these and put them in small pirate treasure chests as gifts. the kids love it when i hide the chests and give them clues to find them. there own little treasure hunt.

They look like plastic until you handle them. I would be happier if I’d bought about twenty or so. Still, intricate design. I could stare at this and study it for a long time.

I like pirates. I live silver. However, I don't like this round. The detail is poor and they have a dull aluminum looking finish. Maybe I've become spoiled after buying ultra HD 2 oz rounds. I do own other one oz rounds that are attractive - this one is not.

The detail on this round is even more stunning in person. I bought 5 to keep in capsules because I love my silver shiny. Bought one extra to keep out and tone. I saw that online and I think that will be awesome. So glad apmex got these back in stock. I'll definitely be buying some more of these again.
