I don't collect these commemorative coins. I bought these when on sale as junk silver: low premium, from US Mint, and same purity and face value as Morgan. It was cheaper than the 90% Kennedy halves. I have to say that the designs were disappointing. Considering the purpose, I was expecting much more attractive looks.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Unattractive Design
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I buy silver across the board from all the big on-line shops. APMEX is by far the largest, and this is why. APMEX has always got that little something different. The extra you can throw-into your cart on the way out. These were just that for me. I grabbed one on my way to check out last week. It was so different and nice Proof minting I ordered about 10 more this week. You, other guys, are going to hate me for this. I did NOT ask for different designs or anything. Guess what? I got all different coins from different years!! I just busted out laughing, after reading the prior feedbacks! Hey just relax, its fun and just enjoy what pot-luck brings! If you don't like what you got, give it to the kid just starting his or her collection..
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Easy to Sell
- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I ordered 10 coins and asked for maximum diversity. I got 6 different types. It's hard to believe with well over 400 coins in stock, there are only 6 different types. I see from the reviews other buyers fared even worse. If APMEX really wanted to move these coins, they would package them in lots of "10 Different" or "20 Different". Remove uncertainly, establish reliability.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I only ordered 10 and 4 were 1987 U.S Constitution, 3 1988 Olympics,1 1983 Oly, ‘84 Oly and a 2004 Edison. Also some of the older ones have spots Still a decent deal but I was hoping for a little variety especially since I requested it—apparently it’s pointless to make requests in offers like these.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend
