I feel it's important to include fractional gold as part of an overall precious metals investment strategy. These $5 commemoratives are a great choice because of their really low premium for a fractional gold coin; their "collectibility" or what issue years Apmex picks to send don't matter to me. That said, the design work is beautiful, and these do harken back to the original $5 gold half eagle on terms of size and weight, which is pretty cool. Highly recommend!

Attractive coins. Bought 4, but all 4 same design. Disappointed. Was looking for variety. Every time I buy random, never get variety. Don't say variety if there isn't any.

For someone with a limited budget, I wanted to participate in buying gold, but I didn't want to pay too much overhead.. I bought with the intent to sell so the design wasn't important. I only could afford 1 so I way pleased to see it was a lovely lady liberty from 1986. Thanks apmex! Super convenient and discreet.
