The history of U.S. Mint Gold Buffalo coins
For the first U.S. Mint Gold coins struck with .9999 fine Gold, the mint chose to use the famous designs of the 1913 Buffalo Nickel, also known as the Indian Head nickel, as inspiration. These 1 oz Gold coins have a $50 face value as guaranteed U.S. legal tender, but their true value is based on the Gold spot price, which makes these Gold coins many times more valuable. The 2006 Gold coins for sale are from the first year of production of these prized Gold coins. Buy Gold coins for their undeniable value, but with the American Buffalo Gold coin, you can also enjoy the beauty of the classic Buffalo Nickel design.

I bought one of this coins on 7/9/2017. This Proof AB Coin is a beautiful BU coin. However, the capsule that housed the coin has a big hairline crack on one corner. APMEX replaced the cracked coin right away. APMEX's service rep. (she) is very courteous and their response and service is excellent. I have no CONS to enter because there is no box to check.
