I bought two of these gold rope chains to give as gifts. The chains are beautiful and well-made. The recipients loved them. Unfortunately, both chains had the lobster clasps fail, one the same day it was opened, the other after about three weeks. Apmex was not able to repair or exchange them since I didn't initiate the return with seven days of purchase. Nonetheless, even incurring the cost of having a jeweler install new clasps, I believe that these chains are a good value and are less expensive than you can find anywhere else. I would recommend them, just be prepared to have new clasps installed.
