KOMSCO, the official mint of South Korea, chose this historical figure to celebrate on the country’s first-ever Silver bullion series. Chiwoo Cheonwang is revered in Chinese and Korean cultures for both his historical feats and the folklore tales attributed to him.
Medal Highlights:
- Contains 1 oz of .999 fine silver.
- Minted at KOMSCO, the mint of South Korea, with a limited mintage of 45,000.
- Third issue of the successful South Korean medal bullion series.
- Multiples of 25 are packaged in mint tubes and 10 tubes come in a sealed mint box. All other medals will be in protective packaging.

In 2016, KOMSCO introduced the 1 oz Silver Chiwoo Cheonwang medal, honoring this legendary figure. The Silver medal saw immediate widespread appeal for its .999 fine Silver content, unique design and exceptionally detailed finish. Only 30,000 of these medals were produced in the first year of issue with just 50% of that available outside of South Korea.

The Chiwoo Cheonwang series consists of the King of the Chiwoo Empire. The Chiwoo Empire, full of peace and abundance, had a precious salt lake where their demon enemies seized the opportunity to plunder. This resulted in small battles between the demons and Chiwoo and his 12 ZI:SIN warrior commanders.

I've been Collecting the Chiwoo's since 2016 and as long as they keep producing these Coins....I will Keep Buying these Coins ! This "may" be my Favorite design out there....Awesome ! As always they arrive quick and in Excellent condition. I have bought many, many Coins and Metals from APMEX and I am happy to say I have Never been disappointed in anything sent to me ! If you are looking for something different, unique......by all means get yourself one of these Chiwoo's....You can't go wrong !

Eight dollars over spot seems a little high from first glance, but if you take into account the mintage and how well the previous years have done then this is an absolute steal. I just got my roll in the other day and I am thinking about going ahead and buying another. A truly beautiful coin!

Wow where to start, I have to say this coin is just absolutely lovely the detail on every little spot is just absolutely amazing it’s like each coin was individually laser cut by an artist. There is exquisite detail in the Warriors face his shoulder pads his chest plates the sword his cape his helmet there is a little face shield on his leg with amazing detail you can even see the muscles on the back of the horse and The horses hair waving in the air in the back has the shield of the god of war with a security feature
