All 1724 Dutch Gold ducats are from the Akerendam shipwreck. The Akerendam was a ship of the Dutch East India Company, built in 1724. On 19 January 1725, the Akerendam left in convoy with two other ships, heading for Batavia with a crew of 200 people and 19 chests of Gold and Silver on board. In total there were 57,000 coins recovered of which only 6,600 were Gold.
