as another person said, I paid extra for brilliant uncirculated, and there are some blemishes on it. My almost uncirculated French roosters that I had purchased in the past are in better condition. At the end of the day, it’s just gold bullion for stacking, but I would still like it to look pretty.

Love these coins, however, the BU I recently purchased had an large abrasion on one side while an AU one I had seemed to be in better condition. I’m not happy that I paid for something supposedly brilliantly uncirculated came with an obvious blemish. I’m usually very satisfied with my APMEX purchases. This one instance was the exception.

Since this coin is reputed to be carried for luck getting one bright uncirculated is extra special as your hand is the first it lays in. Therefore its luck is all yours, granted only to you, so they say. Very good condition, nice color, good detail, nice nineteenth century gold. It's a great addition to my European collection and increases those I have from France.

Highly desireable coin. Price is great in comparison to other coins of same content. I started buying these when I thought gold is to expensive. (Funny I don't think that way anymore) after a few purchases I had my first ounce of gold.My goal with the Angels now is to fill my second tube. A beautiful coin and great way to save. The 100 France coin is another item to look at at over an ounce per coin.
