The designers Christian Davies and Matt Dent focused on iconic imagery from the James Bond films to bring a classic, but innovative design on a new official United Kingdom coin.
The Royal Mint has released a new series celebrating James Bond, the iconic secret agent. This first coin is part of a three-part release, each showing the famous Aston Martin D65. This cupro-nickel coin includes a themed display card.
Coin Highlights:
- Comes in a "007" themed display card.
- Obverse: Displays the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, along with the face value of 2 pounds.
- Reverse: Features an image of the Aston Martin DB5, the classic Bond car. This first release features the front of the car, with a shadow of "0" and "Bond, James Bond". When joined with the next two releases, it will feature a famous motif.
- Official legal tender backed by British government.
