I have purchased gold bars from 1-10 grams, and this was my first leap into a larger investment. I chose to go for the 1oz .9999 gold shot because if needed, you can separate smaller amounts out for sale or bartering without clipping a larger bar into chunks. The vial I received is as pictured with the pellets roughly the same size shown, and is absolutely delightful to hold and admire. A no brainier for those wishing to have an ounce of gold without paying the premiums that come with buying multiple smaller bars.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Very good way to accumulate ounces of gold at a low premium. AP marks this not for investment, but I would disagree. Tremendous value here at minimal premium. I will be buying more....much more :-)
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Easy to Sell
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

As an amateur and a hobbyist, I have dabbled with recovering and refining gold from scrap gold, gold flakes, gold nuggets, filled gold jewelry, and even dated computer components, but once a person figures the time expended, the cost of chemicals, the equipment needed, and the cost for properly disposing chemicals, it only makes good sense to purchase 24K Gold Grain/Shot .9999 fine from Apmex and put an end to all of the nightmares that are associated with processing ones own gold ! For me, with the Apmex name standing behind their gold, I personally feel that their 24K Gold Grain/Shot that is .9999 fine can serve as a safe haven and/or serve as an alternate method for investing in gold when compared to just investing in gold bullion and gold coins. Who knows, perhaps, a time will come when just a pinch of gold will put food on the table should times get tough ! Apmex's 24K gold Grain/Shot .9999 fine is what they say it is and it comes nicely packaged like no other ! Excellence from their shipping department to my door !
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Easy to Sell
- Recognized Brand
- Bottom Line

The beads of gold are a bit bigger than I would like but I use it to resell in small amounts. I end up clipping them into 1 and 2 grain sizes with a wire cutter. Its easy enough to cut like that because its so soft. Its such a great deal when I buy it an ounce at a time I can make a good profit on it easily.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)

- Recognized Brand
- Easy to Sell
