Cadillac 1914 & 1915 Logos
In 1914, the Cadillac logo was redesigned yet again. It was the third change in 12 years for the company. On it were inscribed the nameplate and a stylized typeface-designed Cadillac. The wordmark was featured inside a black spherical frame, which the designer likened to a "black hole." It was, unfortunately, only used for one year.

The Cadillac emblem of 1915 contains design elements from the previous year's edition. The designer also added a floral wreath and a crown to the crest and ducks. Then, he added two leaves to the frame's ends, creating a pair of wings. These elongated leaves appeared like the sight of wings graphically. Fortunately, this emblem was used by the firm for approximately five years before being discarded in favor of another design.

About Cadillac
Cadillac is a General Motors brand that produces high-end automobiles. Cadillac vehicles are among the costliest in the United States.

Cadillac is the world's first automobile, fourth in the United States only to Autocar Company (1912) and other GM marques Oldsmobile (1913) and Buick (1900). The company's name comes from Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, a French-Canadian fur trader who established Detroit, Michigan in the late 18th century. The Cadillac coat of arms was used as the inspiration for the company's logo. Before General Motors purchased it in 1909, Cadillac had already established itself as one of the most well-known luxury automobile producers in the United States.

Due to its capacity to fit small components, the automobile was the first practical vehicle and became the prototype for modern automobiles. It was at the forefront of technological improvements, such as full electrical systems, a frictionless automatic gearbox and a steel roof. Cadillac introduced three engine choices, establishing a new bar for vehicle manufacturing in the United States.

Cadillac was the first automobile manufactured in the United States to win the Dewar Trophy from the Royal Automobile Club of Great Britain in 1908, demonstrating its parts' interchangeability during a durability test; as a result, Cadillac adopted its current slogan "Standard of the World." As a result of its unique design and performance, the Duryea brothers' creation was the first automobile with an electrical system. For the first time, their prize for developing electric starting and illumination into a mass-produced vehicle was accepted.

Elvis Presley was a big Cadillac enthusiast and owned over 100 Cadillacs during his lifetime.

Harley Jarvis Earl was General Motors' first vice president as well as the company's first head designer. He was the first to imagine a "concept car," and his engineering and design skills allowed him to develop some of GM's and Cadillac's most distinctive features, such as the tailfin. In the 1950s, GM was one of the first automobile firms to hire female designers. The Damsels in Design was a group of female designers that were the first to be hired. This group included Sandra Longyear, Marjorie Ford Pohlman, Ruth Glennie, Peggy Sauer, Jeanette Linder, Gere Kavanaugh, Jan Krebs, Dagmar Arnold and Jayne Van Alstyne.

The year 2022 marks Cadillac’s 120th anniversary, a huge milestone for the company.
