The Royal Mint Britannia
Britannia is the female personification of Britain, an enduring symbol that has appeared on coinage for centuries. Throughout shifts in art and politics, technology and popular culture, she has reflected the spirit and values of the nation as the reverse of this Proof coin changes yearly. The Britannia collection from The Royal Mint has become known for showcasing various artists, who create their own interpretation of the icon.

The Royal mint has another hit. This new Brianna is a masterful example of minting. the hippocampus's seems to come alive and almost have a 3d look to them. The detail of the fins and scaling seems to come to life. Also the background of the horizon and sea are delicate and simple in look. The combination makes the whole coin pop. My only negative is in the minting of Britannia herself. Her face is rather harsh in appearance, almost angry. not the more benevolent look of some past coins. However, this coin is more a part of English history and a must in the Britannia collection. GOD SAVE THE KING.

Haven't received mine yet, but I already have proof Royal Mint Pieces of the Queen..soo, had to add some of her son, who in my opinion won't last near as long as the Queen did,(tough Bird, that one!) Which means this one will triple in price on his demise, like his mother's did!
