PCGS, the most reputable name in numismatics, has collaborated with APMEX to further improve the MintDirect® Premier program. PCGS' FirstStrike® designation will not be affected by the partnership with MintDirect® Premier, which allows MintDirect® Premier with PCGS FirstStrike® 2024 Silver Maples in their sealed packaging to retain eligibility for the FirstStrike® distinction long after new FirstStrike®-eligible coins are no longer available.

Partnership with PCGS
PCGS has joined forces with APMEX to give the MintDirect® Premier product the PCGS FirstStrike® seal of approval. These 2024 MintDirect® Premier Silver Maples, which were graded in their original sealed packaging by PCGS, are recognized as meeting their stringent criteria for FirstStrike® eligibility if submitted for grading.
After the mint tubes are placed on the conveyor into the machine, they're sealed completely with tamper-evident packaging by a unique machine used by APMEX. The tube is then removed from the machine and inspected to verify that the packaging meets our high standards. You now have a MintDirect® Premier + PCGS FirstStrike® 2024 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf coin in its completed form.
Silver Maple Leaf Series
The Maple Leaf series of coins from the Royal Canadian Mint is made up exclusively of Silver Maples, which have a high concentration of .9999 fine silver. This valuable composition, coupled with the lovely Canadian maple leaf design, is enhanced by the mirror surface, making these Canadian coins particularly appealing to the eye. The Royal Canadian Mint's iconic design, first created in 1988, has gone through numerous changes in order to produce commemorative versions. Although Canada is known for its maple leaves, the original motif has remained prominent. The maple leaf pattern is also used as a privy mark on several series from the Royal Canadian Mint.
The Royal Canadian Mint's Security Features
In 2015, The Royal Canadian Mint began offering the most secure bullion coin in the market with its Bullion DNA program. Each bullion coin is etched with a textured maple leaf security privy mark and micro-engraved using laser technology that only becomes visible under magnification. The two digits indicating the year of manufacture are etched into the reverse. Each micro-engraving is encoded, scanned, and recorded at the mint for future verification, giving each coin its own Bullion DNA. MINTSHIELD™ Surface Protection, the world's only proven method for greatly reducing the appearance of white spots or "milk spots" on silver bullion coins, has now been added to every 2018 and future 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf coins.
Note: The MintDirect® process does not ensure total protection from spotting or tarnishing that normally occurs in chemically active metals such as gold, silver and platinum.
We provide all of our customers with a refund, return and / or exchange on everything we sell including all bullion and certified coins. If for any reason, you have a problem, please feel free to call us. We will always do our best to accommodate you.
