Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves are one of Major League Baseball’s (MLB) oldest and most successful franchises, with a rich history that dates back to their founding in 1871 as the Boston Red Stockings. The team underwent several name changes and relocations, moving from Boston to Milwaukee in 1953 and finally to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1966. The Braves are known for their impressive record of accomplishments, including winning four World Series championships, most recently in 2021. They hold the distinction of being the first team to win a World Series in three different cities (Boston in 1914, Milwaukee in 1957, and Atlanta in 1995 and 2021).
