The Perth Mint Mythical Creatures
In mythology, the Chimera was a fire-breathing monster with the front part of its body being a lion and the middle of a goat. This creature also had a tail, which took the form of a full snake. The Chimera was the daughter of Typhon & Echidna, who fought against the gods of Olympus. The people of Lycia were terrorized by the Chimera until Bellerophon from Corinth killed it on his winged horse Pegasus.
