About Native America the Beautiful
This series was created to remember forgotten tribes and further the education of how native culture is intertwined into today’s America. It is important that the legacy of the Native Americans is not forgotten. These people lived prosperously in the untamed lands for centuries. With a mintage of just 1,000, collectors can be sure about the rarity of this inspiring set as we walk through history around the nation and celebrate the 50 states like never before. Check out these and more from the Native American Mint.

About Apostle Islands
Apostle Islands National Lakeshore includes 21 islands and over 69,000 acres of shoreline on Lake Superior, an area first inhabited by Native Americans. The Odawa people (meaning “traders”) are an Indigenous group of the Great Lakes region, historically inhabiting Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ontario. They played a central role in regional trade and politics.

In 1763, Pontiac, an Odawa leader, led a multi-tribal uprising known as Pontiac’s War, a coordinated resistance against British military presence after the French and Indian War. Though ultimately unsuccessful, the rebellion reshaped British policies and remains a pivotal moment in Native resistance history.
