I have bought 3 of these 2 1982 ans 1 1981. The 81 is a darker hugh and appears more crisp and prooflike. The 82s are a little more dull also one of the 82s had a large scratch on it making it not worth sending into NGC for a probable MS63 or 64.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Easy to Sell
- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I often buy the "random" circulated sovereigns because of the low premium, plus it's always fun to see what you get! This time I decided to pay some extra premium and try a modern proof. I received a 1982, which is one of the lower proof mintages for this date range. The coin is beautiful, no complaints at all. It's a great addition to my sovereign collection. I've got an alert set so I can get another one when these are back in stock!
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

The overall design is what attracted me to the coin; I believe the Elizabeth II series is one of the most beautiful coins that were minted. I am a bit disappointed that the coin has a small brown spot near the bottom of the coin on the obverse side.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

What a beautiful coin! I rec'd a 1983 coin (2nd lowest mintage of the 6 proof years, about 22,000, what a good surprise), in the original threaded capsule. As others have observed, with all the queen's accomplishments, these are bound to rise in popularity. I hit the "alert me" button, will respond for sure when more turn up in stock.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Mint Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Flawless and only a few $$ more than a run of the mill sovereign. Outstanding value, and often (not always) comes in a really well made original presentation box with certificate from the Royal Mint.
- Pros
- Mint Condition
- Attractive Design
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
