2025 Australia 1 oz Proof Silver Swan
The Perth Mint introduced the Swan coin series in 2017. Collector demand surged immediately, and the first silver release sold out in under two days worldwide. Each year brings a fresh reverse design that highlights the swan in a different artistic setting. The 2025 issue marks the ninth installment in this sought-after series.
Across many cultures, swans represent loyalty and lifelong partnership. These birds usually form permanent mating pairs and rely mostly on aquatic plants for food, though small aquatic creatures occasionally supplement their diet. Several swan species now face environmental pressure due to habitat loss, pollution, and human activity, which has placed some populations at risk.
The Perth Mint
The Perth Mint stands along Western Australia’s Swan River and remains the country’s oldest operating mint. Over many decades, it has built a reputation for producing high-quality bullion and collectible coins. In addition to the Swan series, the mint produces several well-known programs such as the Gold Kangaroo, Silver Kangaroo, Silver Koala, Gold Lunar, Silver Lunar, Silver Kookaburra, and numerous specialty releases.
The 2025 .9999 fine Silver Proof Swan shows exceptional craftsmanship and carries a limited worldwide mintage of just 2,500 coins. This example includes COA #6 and PCGS certification of a perfect PR-70 grade, as well as First Day of Issue designation.
