About the Texas Longhorn Steer
The Texas Longhorn Steer is one of the most recognizable symbols of the state’s frontier heritage and enduring spirit. Descended from cattle brought by Spanish explorers, the Longhorn became essential to Texas ranching culture, thriving in harsh conditions and shaping the iconic cattle drives of the 19th century. Known for its resilience, independence, and strength, the Longhorn reflects the values that define Texas itself, making it a fitting emblem of the Lone Star State’s history, economy, and identity.
These unique notes contain precise amounts of Gold layered between durable polyester film, making Gold more convenient, affordable, and versatile. Using a proprietary process, each note features an ultra-thin 404 nm layer of Gold—about 1% the width of a human hair—verified through rigorous testing. This form makes authentication easier than traditional coins or bars, and each note is printed with high-resolution, full-color graphics for a beautiful and secure presentation.

These alternative currencies are beautiful, the quality is amazing and the anti-counterfeiting technology is incredible. APMEX had a great selection and as always my items arrive quickly and expertly packaged. I recently changed from a different metals dealer and I am happy with the choice.

Up to purchasing these, I have only bought silver. Though I would love to acquire ounces of gold, these products allow me to buy some, a little bit at a time. Financially, not a practical way to accumulate gold, but it's a start.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Mint Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
