Kruzenshtern "Padua" - 100th Anniversary
In 2026, Kruzenshtern proudly marks its 100th anniversary - a testament to its long-standing history. Previously named "Padua", this traditional sailing training ship is one of the largest active tall sailing ships in the world today. It was used as a film set in the 1930s and 1940s and held the world record as the fastest square-rigged sailing ship in 1938 and 1939. After World War II, the ship was handed over to the Soviet Union as war reparations, renamed "Kruzenshtern" in 1946, and thus given the name of the German-Baltic admiral Adam Johann von Krusenstern. Since then, it has been used as renowned sailing training ship.
