Alexander the Great
Alexander the Great was a king of Macedon who created one of the largest empires in ancient history by the age of 30. Born in 356 BC, he was tutored by the philosopher Aristotle and succeeded his father, Philip II of Macedon, in 336 BC. He conquered vast territories including Egypt, Persia, and parts of India, spreading Greek culture across three continents during what became known as the Hellenistic period. Alexander died in 323 BC in Babylon at the age of 32, and his empire was later divided among his generals.
