Napoleon Bonaparte
Napoleon Bonaparte was a French military leader who rose to prominence during the French Revolution and became Emperor of France in 1804. He expanded French control across much of Europe through a series of successful military campaigns known as the Napoleonic Wars. Napoleon introduced important reforms, including the Napoleonic Code, which influenced legal systems around the world. After his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, he was exiled to the island of Saint Helena, where he died in 1821.
