- Obverse: Features Gandalf the Gray in the center with hooded riders on horseback leaving the tranquility of the Shire, which can be seen on the map of Middle-earth in the background. At the bottom, the inscriptions "Fellowship of the Ring" and the year complete the design.
- Reverse: Depicts the One Ring, looming over Sauron's eye. The Ring's secret inscription in Elvish is revealed here by the flames of Mount Doom. The face value and the letters RF complete the design.
