I just receive this 1 gram bar as part of my first order from APMEX and my very first foray into precious metals and could not be more pleased!!! From condition (perfect) to packaging to delivery time and customer service APMEX impresses! This was my first purchase from APMEX and like others, was a trial run before making larger purchases. It came well packaged in a thick box, and was inserted in between layers of foam. Because it's only a gram, it's smaller than a postage stamp. But it came in a sealed plastic pouch with the certificate # and other other information on the card. Yes, the spot price on these is higher but if buying for the long term, it should appreciate in value. Spot prices on ounce and larger are better, but the cost puts it out of reach of casual investors. This is a good way to collect gold. Bottomline I will be ordering again, but probably move up to the 5 g level.

Not worth the price paid for it. I paid sixty eight bucks and it's only worth 38 on the open market. If you're going to buy gold go with 1 ounce bars otherwise you're wasting your time.

Great investment, buy-buy-buy. Once extreme devalution of the USD happens, I'd rather have a stock-pile of these 1gr bars than Bernanke-funny money. When Venezuela devalued their currency (w/o warning), those people who had gold & silver gained 46% in wealth and those that stayed with fiat currency lost 46% of their "money".

This tiny little bar of gold has a beautiful image of Lady Liberty on it. This is an excellent piece to start yourself off. It comes packaged securely in a plastic sleeve w/ assay and shipping is fast. Highly recommended.

I bought this gold bullion to see what it would look like, however, when I revived the item I got a small little bar compared to the big picture on the web. Although it was small I was satisfied with the its because it came in a secure package and the bar was encased in a secure plastic with the assay.
