Well, when I ordered this coin I was not the most experienced in precious metals buying and collecting. At a collector stand it is not that collectible. For investors, stackers stand it is not the smartest buy. The "Proof" makes the premium higher but the coin is still only a 1/4 oz. when trying to sell it make sit harder to get what you paid a premium over the spot. Same picture of the queen on, millions/billions of coins makes it get boring after a while.
- Pros
- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Unattractive Design
- Common (higher mintage)
- Hard to Sell
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought this coin because it is a historical $100 Canadian commemorative in beautiful proof condition. Being 14 kt, it has a brighter gold color being a 58/32 proportion of gold and silver containing a quarter ounce of pure gold. This quarter ounce gold coin has the same diameter of a $25 face value half ounce American Eagle because the Canadian coin has added a silver content to produce a larger coin than a .999 quarter ounce gold coin.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Recognized Brand
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Mint Condition
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Easy to Sell
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
