The Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata bissa), or locally named Taku, is one of two main turtle species of the South Pacific island nation of Fiji. Although they have a wide distribution throughout the world's tropical regions, Hawksbill turtles are considered critically endangered due to human fishing practices. Taku grow up to a meter in length and a weight of 80kg, although the heaviest on record weighed 127kg. The Gold Taku and Baby is an extension of the Silver Taku coin series produced by New Zealand Mint.

I look for coins that have interesting designs to compliment the metal value. This is nice design that my children enjoy looking at. My only negative comment is that the design is a bit thin. A little deeper impression would really set this coin off.
