I was trying to collect Morgan Dollars, found out quick they are to expensive( the good ones). I am going to collect American Eagles, they are a beautiful coin and relatively inexpensive and easier to find.

This was the first time I have used APMEX, and it will be the last time. Both coins in my set were flawed. The enhanced uncirculated Silver Eagle has milk spots and the reverse proof has a very noticeable scuff mark on the sun on the obverse. I would have been willing to just chalk this up as just an unlucky set from the mint, except the other two coins I ordered also were disappointing in terms of their condition.

Very beautiful coin set. The Reverse proof has a very tiny nick or two, which seems to be mint damage. The Enhanced is perfect, cant find any flaw in it. I believe I was able to get the last box on Apmex has on stock, which turned out to be good and bad. Glad I was able to still get this set but was a bit disappointed about the condition of the mint box. The box cover looks like it was slashed with a box cutter, which is unfortunate considering how HUGE the premium for this set is. Not making a huge deal about it because the slash isnt very deep (but it is about 3 inches long) and its only the box cover, but yea.

I got this this set for my collection. The coins were exactly what I expected from the photos used on the site. The great surprise for me was the display case the US Mint made for the coins. I had careful examined the photos and knew that display case would be good. But I truly didn't expect it to be made of finely lacquered wood. It adds weight and heft to overall effect of the presentation. It moves this coin set from just another fine collectible to a true family heirloom.
