A very attractive design. I bought this in 2014, so the premium was fairly low, and I would recommend it to other collectors and even stackers who want to diversify their pile a little. After it exits production, I would recommend it only to series collectors.
- Pros
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Attractive Design
- Mint Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

The Lunar Series coins produced by the Perth Mint in Australia are simply beautiful. These low mintage coins have the opportunity to appreciate in value above their inherent gold value due to their collectability. Note that certain "lunar signs" are more popular than others (dragon, tiger, horse very popular). The coin arrived sealed in its own capsule from the Mint to protect it. The only drawback is the premium for this series is much higher than regular bullion coins because of their rarity, but they will appreciate in time, much like the Chinese Panda series. Highly recommended!
